Data Deletion

Overview

You can request deletion of account information and app data associated with your AI Detector account. This page explains what is deleted, what may remain, and how to request deletion.

Delete your account in the app (recommended)

1. Open AI Detector
2. Go to Profile
3. Tap Delete account
4. Confirm permanent deletion

This will:

• Delete your authentication account
• Remove server-side profile, billing cache, credit balance, onboarding responses, and related account-linked records
• Sign you out and clear local app data on your device, including scan history stored on the device

Deletion is permanent and cannot be undone.

What may remain after deletion

Some information may be retained where required or permitted by law, including:

• Apple / Google billing and transaction records (managed by the app stores and payment providers)
• RevenueCat / webhook audit logs that may no longer be linked to your user ID
• Short-lived technical logs (errors, security events) in Sentry or server logs, retained for a limited period
• Analytics events already sent to Meta before deletion, subject to Meta's retention policies
• Third-party detection providers may retain submitted media or analysis inputs per their own policies for a period we do not control

We do not keep a long-term server archive of your submitted media files after analysis completes under normal operation.

Clear scan history without deleting your account

If you only want to remove recent scans from your phone:

• Open History → tap Clear

This removes locally stored scan history but keeps your account.

Email requests

If you cannot access the app, email support@useaidetector.com from the address tied to your account. We may ask you to verify that you control the account before processing a request.

Verification

To protect privacy, we may require verification that you control the account or contact method associated with the data.

Processing time

In-app account deletion is processed promptly when you confirm. Email requests are typically handled within 30 days, subject to verification.
